If you search around the world, you will find very few people that don't know about Netfix or Amazon Prime. These two giants have taken the online streaming game to a new level. Both of the platforms offer a great amount of TV shows and movies and a really amazing service.

However, as they're a paid service, most of the people can't afford to have both.

So if you have to choose one, which one should you choose? Let us help you out!

Amazon Prime vs Netfix

Content Library

Amazon Prime has a huge 36412 movies and 6133 seasons of TV shows while Netflix only has 4101 movies and 2814 seasons of TV shows. So in the number, it is clear that Amazon Prime is ahead of Netflix. However, in terms of quality, Netflix gets the win as almost 31k of Amazon's content is unrated movies and TV shows while Netflix only has 897 of unrated content.

In terms of originals, In my opinion, Netflix is way ahead of Amazon Prime as they have had great hits like Jessica Jones, Master of none, black mirror etc, and the new experiment of interactive streaming with Black Mirror Bandersnatch was also commendable. On the other hand, Amazon Prime hasn't produced any of the hits that can be compared to Netflix

Device Compatibility

Both of the platforms have a pretty large and same list of compatible devices. Both of them can be streamed on the usual Android TVs and devices like Nvidia Shield and Roku. However, both of them host content that is unavailable in some regions. To bypass those region blocks, a VPN for Streaming is necessary.

Price

In terms of price, I think it's clear that Amazon has the upper hand because Amazon Prime is priced at 99$ per year with three screens. On the other hand, Netflix charges 7.99$ per month for one screen, 10.99 per month for two screens and 13.99 per month for 4 screens and ultra HD access.

Verdict

We can clearly see that in terms of content quality, Netflix takes the win. Netflix's content curation is top-notch and creates great original content. So if you are an avid binge-watcher, go ahead and get it. However, if you're looking for something more affordable, you can opt for amazon prime as well.
